Day 3- This morning we can continue our hike heading to Mackinder’s Camp at 4300m to arrive before, stopping for lunch on the way.

Day 4- After a very early breakfast, we can follow the trek which leads via a steep screed to the Austrian Hut, at an altitude of 4790m. Here we can have a short break with hot drinks and biscuits before we continue our ascent to point Lenana at 4985m, via the Lewis Glacier. After taking in the sweeping views from this point, we can then begin to descend through the Northern side to Minto’s Hut at 4200m, where we can stop for a rest. After lunch, we can continue our descent on the Chogoria route, passing the Gorge valley and Lake Michaelson to arrive at Carpot camp at 3300m, in time to set up camp before dinner.

Day 5- After breakfast, we can leave our Carpot camp to continue our climb to the Meru Mt. Kenya Bandas, where we can stop for a picnic lunch before continuing to the park gate, where our vehicle will be waiting for us. It is also possible to arrange vehicle transport to collect us from the Meru Mt. Kenya Bandas if preferred.
